You want to stop using devices with screens with enough time prior to attempting to sleep to prepare your body to go to sleep. However, keep in mind, this is still not going to be as good as turning your electronics off and preparing your body with no screen usage.

Another big thing that you are going to want to do when you are prepping for bedtime would be to avoid drinking anything at all. It is important to pick a time to stop drinking anything because you could find yourself going to the bathroom throughout the night. Each time you wake up to go to the bathroom, you will be disrupting your sleep. Therefore, you want to avoid making yourself get up unnecessarily by drinking fluids too late at night. This includes everything from water to alcohol. You want to attempt to drink enough water throughout the day so you won’t be thirsty too late.

4. Stretch.

Another good thing that you are going to be able to do to improve not only your ability to fall asleep but your ability to sleep throughout the night would be to stretch. By stretching, you should be able to minimize the amount of stress and tension that you have built up which can really help you achieve a much deeper sleep and a much better overall sleep as well.
